Project Overview
New residents move near Atlanta everyday. Imagine if they had a guide on how to navigate their new home.
The project was to create a small guide booklet based on an aspect or area of Atlanta. As an Atlanta resident, I chose the beautiful Piedmont Park.

Research
This book is meant to guide future Atlanta citizens, so I aim to focus on history and opinions of how Atlanta citizens on the park.
This way the book isn’t just full of information but it encompasses real experiences from people who live there. For insight shifted through many reviews about Piedmont and the people have to say...

Photo Examples of the Park
The guide would exhibit energy and vibrancy through its green-blue color palette. The park is majority green, so I utilized blue for balance and to extend comfort with the analogous palette.
The typeface and white-space mellows the book to be calm and open.
Lastly, the flat illustrations of the park are meant to be welcoming and exciting while being a peak at the green oasis the citizens described.

The opening spread utilizing the energetic color palette and a balance of appropriate text.
